DIY bath fizz to make at home
WHAT YOU NEED:
1/4 Cup of Epsom Salts
1/2 Cup of Bicarbonate of Soda
1/4 Cup of Citric acid (get food grade) available from your local healthfood store is what gives it the fizz but is optional if you have v sensitive skin
Jam Jar or similar
Deadheaded/Dried Flowers
Pink Sea Salt (optional)
It’s optional but you could add a melted oil like coconut oil, shea butter or this is apricot oil which adds moisturisation to the mix to leave your skin feeling fabulous but it can make your bath slippery so be careful OR one of our essential oil blends
Weigh out the Bicarbonate of Soda, Citric Acid and Epson Salts into a bowl and mix
Add in your chosen flowers and sea salt if required
Mix all the ingredients together and add in essential oils – use gloves or a spoon if touching the citric acid
Scoop into an old jam jar or any container with a secure lid
Add some dried botanicals, pink sea salt onto the top ready to keep yourself or gift to a loved one!
DIY botanical wax melts at home
Reusing old wax to make wax melts at home
WHAT YOU NEED:
Old used wax melts or wax from used candles
A Saucepan
Glass Jug
Essential Oils
Wax Melt Mould or Ice Cube Tray
Dried flowers - for example; lavender cut from the garden, pine needles, rosemary, eucalyptus leaves
Jam Jar or similar
Place the old wax into the glass jug
Place that into the saucepan filled with some water, boil slowly so the wax begins to melt, stir it gently
Add in your essential oils of choice, about 10 drops into 100ml of wax roughly, stir it well
Pour the mixture carefully into the mould, it doesn't have to be perfect
Top with your dried botanicals and leave them to set and dry
Once dried you can pop them out of the moulds and place into your chosen jam jar or container, tie with ribbon or make a homemade label ready to gift.
